It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful mother, Becky Stodder Price, co-founder of The Wax Connection. With family by her side, Becky passed away on April 25, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her birthday was April 26th. Becky was 75 years old, but as she liked to call it, “three quarters of a century" old.
As the co-founder of The Wax Connection, Becky was a beacon of integrity and passion in the beauty industry. She dedicated her life to being of service, mentoring countless professionals, and sharing her extensive knowledge to help others succeed.
Her palpable absence leaves an unmistakable void that can't be filled. Her quiet strength, generous spirit, and enduring love will continue to live on in each of the lives she touched. May her memory and the indelible impact she had on each of us remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. We will miss her beyond measure.
There are no words to encapsulate the depth of the loss I feel from losing my beloved Mom. I kindly ask for your patience and compassion as I navigate this difficult time of grief.
To close, I’d like to share a poem for my Mom and for those who, too, know the sorrow of losing their mother. It's called “If Roses Grow in Heaven” by Dolores M. Garcia:
If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
With gratitude,
Rachel Patton
